For our 6-day package we have selected the best trails and destinations, which are balanced in difficulty, location, scenery and will make a great skiing adventure in the Great Caucasus. With favourable weather conditions you should be able to do 6 different ski tours, including a 1-day trip to Ushguli for the freshest snow in Svaneti and a glimpse of the awesome Bezengi wall: the tallest section of the Caucasus, a magnificent 13-km long mountain group of gleaming 5000+ m peaks.

As an option, with your enthusiasm and weather permitting, it is possible to include an overnight in Ushguli for a true mountain adventure where all roads end. We cannot plan this in advance, because we try to keep the itinerary as flexible as possible and go with the weather, but once the weather forecast is clear and your group assess their capacity, we will be happy to offer this option on the spot. You will find information on the 2-day trip to Ushguli below.

Package prices include airport transfers, 6 ski-touring days with guiding, ski-passes if you opt for Tetnuldi ski-tour and all transfers, as well as accommodation and half-board in Mestia. We do not include insurance, flights and equipment rental.

Standard accommodation is a family-run guest house in the centre of Mestia, offering double rooms with private bathrooms, free wifi, central heating and home-made meals. We believe that this standard is the best combination of comfort and personalized guest-care. If you wish to stay in a higher standard hotel, we will be happy to upgrade the package, based on availability of rooms in Mestia’s international standard hotels.

Safety, rentals and guides

All of our guides are local, meaning they know the terrain and the snow history perfectly, and all of them are professionals with «Georgian Mountain Guide Association» or «Rescue in the Mountains» certificates, good reviews and years of experience in guiding.

It is possible to rent quality ski-touring gear and avalanche gear in Mestia (let us know when you book).

Standard accommodation

We offer accommodation in family-run guest houses to support local family businesses. We choose well-located little hotels with all the basic facilities, whose hosts will do their best to make you feel at home. The standard package tour includes sharing accommodation in a twin/double room with someone from your group (we can adjust to single accommodation upon request). The rooms have a private bathroom, central heating and wi-fi. Hearty Georgian breakfasts and dinners will ensure that you have enough energy for your mountain adventure every day.

COST : 250-550 EUR for 1 twin room / 7 nights

Even though standard accommodation that we offer in our tours is quite comfortable, you might decide that you prefer more spacious and better equipped lodgings with international standard service and cuisine. There are only 2 hotels in Mestia that are up to international standard, and we will be happy to book your stay with them. Exact prices and room types (twin or double; standard, superior, deluxe) are subject to availability.

PLEASE NOTE that these hotels do not include dinner in the package. Instead, they have a la carte restaurants.

The awesome Bezengi wall and ever-fresh snow

Experience something absolutely unique: UNESCO site Ushguli is Europe’s highest permanent medieval settlement at 2200 m above sea level. Located 46 km away from Mestia at the foot of the legendary Bezengi wall — the tallest section of the Great Caucasus including Georgia’s tallest summit Shkhara (5193 m).
Why stay longer? Ushguli is Svaneti’s most remote village: the road takes 2 hours and can be tamed only by experienced local drivers and only in good weather. This is why so few skiers get there and this is why our guides will always find untouched snow in Ushguli. A great variety of ski-touring and back-country options with panoramic trails. Accommodation in Ushguli is surprisingly comfortable: well-heated twin rooms, hot showers and hearty home-made meals.
